Nike Sportswear is set to continue its exploration of Shox technology with the heritage-inspired, all-new Shox Z. The Women's-exclusive design indulges in bold elements from the past, coupling them with modern minimalism for a refined look.
As with the original Nike Shox R4, the newly-surfaced style features column-shaped cushioning at the heel. Tread underfoot draws inspiration from some of the Swoosh's earliest road running offerings, keeping the conversation alive between present and past. The textile-heavy upper sees sculpted lines across the profiles, drawing similarities from numerous experimental designs from over the years. Swooshes appear on the sidewalls, further connecting the sneaker with performance models from yesteryear.
"The Shox Z makes me feel super powerful and high-fashion," said Aryna Sabalenka, who wore the silhouette to accept her second consecutive US Open trophy earlier in the month. "When I’m off the court, I like to mix and match more elevated pieces in my wardrobe. The Shox Z takes my outfits to the next level, and they look good with everything."
Enjoy official photos of some of the silhouette's inaugural color schemes ahead—including "Dark Team Red," "Pinksicle," and "Light Bone" options. Pairs are slated to release globally via Nike.com soon.
