Post Archive Faction's Final On Collection Drops Sept. 3

The phrase "All good things must come to an end" will finally apply to the multi-year partnership between South Korea's Post Archive Faction (PAF) and Switzerland's On as the collaborators present their sixth and final project: Current Form 5.0.

Since 2024, PAF has reimagined numerous performance-informed products from the Swiss company's roster, bringing an avant-garde aesthetic to running footwear and apparel. The result has been multiple capsule collections that seem simple at quick glance, but ultimately deliver in-depth concepts with a streamlined precision.

For his label's final collection with On, Creative Director and CEO Dongjoon Lim has helped introduce a new take on the On Cloudsoma, an evolutionary running shoe that draws inspiration from rock formations. The collaborative silhouette embodies the raw beauty of mountains, presenting the contrast between rough and smooth, stillness and speed, and a tense dialogue between wild nature and precise design.

Current Form 5.0 is the final product release from Lim and the On team, but its impact stretches beyond a Sept. 3 release date or "Out of Stock" message on any e-commerce site.

World-renowned land artist Strijdom van der Merwe was invited to build a permanent circular stone installation on the Spanish island of Tenerife, which will serve as a trail loop for runners. This monument to movement serves as a testament of the lasting legacy of the PAF x On partnership while creating a closed loop instead of beginning and endpoints.

The Cloudsoma has been engineered with a high–abrasion, quick-drying upper that's built to withstand runs on Merwe's trail loop and on tougher terrains. Three different colorways—"Cobble/Raven," "Black/Black," and "Haze/Linen" celebrates the earth and champions the freedom of movement.
