Following the successful rollout of their third ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 collaboration, Montreal-based design studio JJJJound is shifting gears with a new partnership with Puma. Their next release sees the revival of the Puma Mostro, reworked in the studio’s signature minimalist aesthetic.
A silhouette that has recently returned to the spotlight thanks to slip-on builds and 3D-printed reinterpretations, the Mostro now welcomes a subdued yet premium makeover by JJJJound. The upper features rich brown suede and a touch of leather down the tongue, set off by cream-colored laces and lining. Branding is dialed back, with embossed JJJJound logos subtly placed on the heel and printed insoles. The signature spiked rubber outsole remains intact, adding edge and function to the otherwise low-profile design — and now a second color in Deep Navy has been added to the roster, but imagery for this pair is yet to be revealed.

Images shared ahead of the release show the pair arriving with a branded dust bag, adding a refined finish to the package. The JJJJound x Puma Mostro Suede stays consistent with the studio’s refined, utilitarian tone—a stark contrast to the more expressive iterations of the Mostro we’ve seen recently.
A release is scheduled for June 14 via Solebox, with no confirmation yet from JJJJound on wider availability.
