PUMA’s LaMelo Ball signature line continues to lean into personality and performance with the newly released PUMA MB.05 “Metallic,” a finish that looks futuristic without losing its edge on the court.
The PUMA MB.05 “Metallic” arrives wrapped in a pearlescent grey upper that shifts subtly under light, giving the shoe a liquid, almost chrome-like appearance. That sheen is contrasted by neon green hits throughout, including the tongue graphic, strap accents, and signature “Not From Here” text stamped along the midfoot. A bold red Puma logo on the outsole adds another pop, grounding the look while reinforcing the shoe’s aggressive, game-ready feel.
Design details remain deeply tied to LaMelo Ball’s otherworldly branding. The winged midfoot strap returns with sculpted fins that lock the foot in place, while jagged overlays and textured panels give the shoe a layered, almost armored look. “One of One” branding appears across the upper, reinforcing the individuality theme that’s become central to Melo’s line.
Underfoot, the MB.05 keeps its focus squarely on performance. PUMA’s Nitro foam cushioning delivers responsive energy return without feeling overly soft, making it well-suited for quick cuts and explosive takeoffs. The outsole features a dense, multi-directional traction pattern built to grip hard on indoor courts, while the supportive sidewalls help keep the foot stable during lateral movement.
