Nigo and Pharrellare still going strong. Their recent link-up on the HUMAN MADE x adidas Hu collection is a testament to their long-time creative partnership. Their initial project birthed one of the biggest names in streetwear — Billionaire Boys Club — which was a true flex of creative freedom for both the Bape founder and N*E*R*D frontman. A side piece of that brand was ICECREAM, a skate-centric extension of the label, which naturally lent itself to the production of footwear. The BBC team wanted to keep the ICECREAM production solely in Japan, so Reebok was the obvious choice. The partnership was short-lived, but the legend of the label has kicked on for almost a decade, thanks to their bold color selections, cartoon motifs and unique use of materials.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Reebokhas officially announced that they’ve rekindled their partnership with the colorful skate crew, and they’re set to drop a (second) debut collection with the brand exclusively at ComplexCon. The pairs recall signature aspects from the ICECREAM back catalog like bold, contrasting color combos of the Board Flip, Diamonds And Dollars prints, and the return of ICECREAM’s character motifs throughout. There are five pairs in total across four silhouettes; the Reebok Answer V, the BB4600 Hi and Low, and two options of the Vector brand’s new ZIG trainer in Star Field and Space Camo. Of course, there is an accompanying set of apparel to launch alongside the quintet, including hoodies, tees, and sweats.
If you’re heading to ComplexCon Long Beach on November 2nd and 3rd, you can pick up items from the rekindled collab exclusively on the day.
