A beloved lineage from the early 2000s, the Reebok Premier is making a grand return, capitalizing on a market obsessed with Y2K runners.
To kick things off for the revival, New Jersey-based Packer Shoes lends its design prowess to breathe new life into this Y2K classic, reintroducing it with a contemporary edge.
The retooled Premier Road Modern retains its signature thick geometric overlays that adorn the sneaker's lateral and medial sides, now rendered in a palette of subdued neutrals. The dominant deep umber hues are complemented by touches of dusky purple, creating a sophisticated color scheme that nods to the model's heritage while aligning with current fashion trends.
Despite the crowded market of mesh runners, the Premier Road Modern stands out thanks to distinctive design features such as a pronounced toe-cap and a futuristic heel stamp. These elements, alongside the specially designed grid-patterned insoles provided by Packer, emphasize the shoe's advanced aesthetic and technological appeal.
After its debut at Packer on October 4th, the Premier Road Modern will be available globally via Reebok.com starting October 9th.
