With all other footwear brands rolling out their Olympic editions, it’s only now that we’ve seen the Steven Smith-designed Reebok Instapump Fury rear-up for the Tokyo Games. With the silhouette widely loved in Japan, it’s fitting that this new Reebok Instapump Fury “Edo Kiriko” will release as a regional exclusive for the Games.
Honoring the host city’s traditional gas-cutting art form, Edo (Tokyo) Kiriko-styled detailing appears across the pair’s Pump bladder caging in an elegant Golden Bronze. Mostly sun-shaped intricacies work with hexagonal and triangular vectors to replicate the traditional craft in a modern sense. All of this resides atop a black woven mesh base, a simple white outsole, and a black rubber outsole. Completing the design are further hits of muted bronze across the pair’s typical branding placements.
Pairs are already available on Reebok Japan, and given the pair’s overarching theme, it’s likely it will stay exclusive to the region. Should they touchdown stateside, we’ll be sure to keep you updated right here on our official Twitter account. If not, pairs are already available right here on eBay ready for international dispatch.
