United Arrows Continue Their Minimal Mantra on the Reebok Instapump Fury

The Steven Smith-designed Reebok Instapump Fury is nothing short of audacious. The use of negative space, the insane Pump technology, and its often gaudy colorways are part and parcel of the silhouette, which makes its next collaboration with United Arrows one of juxtaposition.

The minimal Japanese imprint is known for their less-is-more mantra, and despite the base silhouette’s history, they’ve stayed true to that. Here, they’ve worked in sail leather uppers (which appear richer in person than sighted here) against milky-white cage overlays. Branding is tonal, too, while midsoles of bright white break up of warmer shades above. From there, a simple grey rubber outsole is applied — a finish matched at the insole — to complete the design
