With still a steady stream of patriotic colorways seeing the light of day one can’t help but think this was all for the ill-fated 2020 Tokyo Olympics that has now been postponed until next year. Two such silhouettes that both adorn the “USA” red, white and blue are the upcoming Reebok Kamikaze II and the Reebok Shaqnosis, both of which will look to be repurposed for the 4th of July celebrations.
Firstly the Kamikaze II, made famous by the legendary Shawn Kemp, arrives with its signature aggressive lines and bulky build. The upper is a mixture of both leather and suede with the front half of the shoe enveloped in “Vector Navy” and the rear in “Vector Red” only being divided by the iconic white wave. At the silhouettes bedrock lies a multi-toned mid and outsole, completed with pops of grey and branding on the tongue, heel, and medial sides. Last but definitely not least the mind-boggling Shaqnosis arrives using the same textile construction of the Kamikaze; the leather and suede upper is a predominately navy at its foundation with iconic red and white stripe overlays. With a navy sole unit anchoring down the design the shoes look is completed with the typical branding and Shaq silhouette located not he heel.
Both pairs are available as of the 1st of June from Reebok Australia, but as of the time of publication, there is no word yet on a Stateside release. Keep it locked on our official Twitter account for further updates. Until then, enjoy an official look at both pairs here below.
