The legend of Reebok's Pump Omni Zone II has been well-documented since Dee Brown's "No Look Dunk" in the 1991 NBA Dunk Contest. Throughout the decades, the silhouette has emerged in faithful reissues of that night's legendary look, as well as refreshing new finishes.
Ahead of summer, the retro design has emerged in a "Chalk/Dark Green/Paper White" color scheme. Color-blocking falls in line with past iterations of the Pump-assisted model, with the bulk of the leather, suede, and plastic upper opting for shades of white. The clean canvas allows for the slightest contrast to revel in the spotlight, giving way for green and orange-colored accents to shine.
What's peculiar about the impending drop is the non-standard embroidered Reebok The Pump and hexalite text on the lateral heel and spine, respectively. An official product description from the brand shares that the font choice has been inspired by Irish culture, but no other insight has been provided. Nevertheless, the messaging complements the rest of the fashion-oriented take on an iconic basketball shoe.
Enjoy detailed photos of the "Dark Green"-accented Pump Omni Zone II below. Pairs will release via Reebok.com on Friday, June 6, for $160.
