Made famous by the Reign Man Shawn Kemp back in the mid-1990s, the Reebok Kamikaze II was a reflection of Reebok’s dominance of the Basketball market during the era. Bold and aggressive — like their athletes in Shaquille O’Neil, Allen Iverson, and Kemp — the silhouette became one of the biggest-selling basketball shoes in the market Aside from the future Question and Answer releases, Reebok’s prominence fell by the wayside, and before they knew it, they were out of the big leagues. But if the ‘Bok have one thing going for them, it’s nostalgia. Their OG catalog always fares well when it comes to retros, and the return of the OG Black/White Kamikaze II in 2020 will be no different.
It’s set to arrive in its OG mix of black nubuck paired with striking white leather overlays atop a two-tone rubber sole unit. It’s been a minute since these hit shelves — 2013 is believed to be the last time the Mid retro’d, whilst a low-cut came along the year after. Those of you who have been waiting for a reiusse will be please to hear that these are arriving this month — now confirmed for June 19th — right here on Reebok.com.
