Saucony “Megabyte Pack” Remembers 90s Computer Technology

Sneaker brands often look to specifics that surround silhouettes for inspiration. Be it on-court rivalries of the period, to events in that era. For Saucony and their latest “Megabyte Pack”, influence is drawn from 1990 computer technology — which is also the birth era of the brand’s seminal Shadow model.

The retro gray and blue color scheme here is a nod to computer monitors and systems of years past, while details such as a microchip-inspired tongue design underscore the nostalgia — all that’s missing is a damn 3M-branded mousepad and Window’s asshole paperclip “helper”

Take a trip down memory lane via the galleries below, and both the Grid Azura 2000 Megabyte ($130) and Shadow 6000 Megabyte ($120) are available now via Saucony.com, while the Jazz 81 ($90) is coming soon.
