This Saucony Shadow 5000 Celebrates 157 Years of NOLA’s Café du Monde

After revealing their beautiful beignet-inspired Cafe du Monde collaboration earlier this week, Politics has now unveiled an even rarer pair of pastry-inspired Saucony Shadow 5000, with only one pair made for each year of the world-renowned cafe’s existence — 157 in total.

Politics presents an alternate, creamy take on signature French pastry pair, with the Family and Friends exclusive set to rock an off-white top half, as opposed to the full beignet-colored general release. The F7F paring also shifts the powdered sugar effect to the lower tan layers, as well as the addition of green and white check laces.

After both pairs launched exclusively in the Big Easy on Saturday, June 22nd, the retail pairing will see a wider release on July 5th at select stores like SNS and Allikefrom 7 AM EST. So take a peep at the pairs below, before logging on early tomorrow to secure yourself a pair.
