Batman Beyond.
It’s been a minute since we made an addition to our Superhero Concept Series, but we’re back with our latest addition: Tomorrow Night. I know, you may start to recognize a recurring theme. Batman. I’m a little biased, after all, it is my favorite series (sorry Superman fans, but your turn will come!)
This sneaker is complementary to our “Nightwing” Air Jordan 5, who Robin’s grown-up alter ego. The Tomorrow Knight character is a little more complicated. If you’re not a hardcore Batman fan like me, you might not know who this is. So here’s a quick overview:
Born with a partial strand of the original Batman’s DNA, Terry McGinnis was a reformed juvenile delinquent who stole the Batman suit to avenge the murder of his father. Under Wayne’s guidance (and after his death), Terry became The Tomorrow Knight of futuristic Neo-Gotham in Batman Beyond.
The inspiration is obvious; black and red matches Terry’s striking suit, one that’s a little more noticeable than Batman’s deep blacks and greys.
