Macy’s and Disney are celebrating Spider-Man’s longtime connection to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with a new streetwear-inspired collection launching this October.
Spider-Man first made his Parade balloon debut in 1987, becoming a recurring part of the event’s history and a familiar part of the character’s connection to New York City. The new collection builds on that legacy while drawing inspiration from Spider-Man’s battles with the Sinister Six.
Vintage Marvel comic artwork appears throughout the range, with bold graphics and bright color treatments featured across apparel, accessories and collectibles. Familiar Spider-Man imagery is joined by characters from the Sinister Six, giving the assortment a strong comic-book feel throughout.
Select pieces also reference Spider-Man’s return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, connecting the collection directly to the character’s decades-long presence in the annual New York tradition.
The Disney and Macy’s 100th Thanksgiving Day Parade collection launches online through the Macy’s Parade Shop on October 7, followed by a wider release at Macy’s stores nationwide beginning October 15.
