This New Under Armour Curry 7 Celebrates International Women’s Day
Never hesitant to publicly support the beliefs he holds close, Steph Curry and Under Armour are celebrating International Women’s Day with the UA Curry 7. A follow-up to last year’s Curry 6 United We Win co-designed by Riley Morrison, the forthcoming pair also features a predominantly purple palette. And fittingly so, given that purple has symbolised justice and dignity among women advocacy initiatives since at least 1908. While no official press release has confirmed or denied her involvement, Riley Morrison’s playful design approach is evident on this celebratory Curry 7. “B AMAZING,” “HUMBLE” and other graphics on the insoles harken back to the motivational reminders the then nine-year-old hand-drew on the aforementioned Curry 6. The shades of purple across the mixed synthetic and textile uppers on this pair aren’t as bold as their predecessor’s, but still make an important statement about International Women’s Day. UA HOVR cushioning and external heel counters follow suit, but multi-directional, rubber outsoles round out the pair in white.
