Steph Curry is about to drop a special-edition UA Curry 7 that tributes DC’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.
The Smithsonian Institution was officially opened back in 2016 by then-Prez Barry O, and houses some incredible artifacts from slave-period pieces to Muhammad Ali’s boxing gloves and even one of James Browns’ jumpsuits. More importantly, is houses the journey that African Americans have long traveled — and still travel on the path to true equality.
The National Museum of African American History and Culture.
This new Curry 7 “MAAHC” pays tribute to the institution in very subtle ways, with its golden/bron upper attributed to the physical building’s exterior, while vibrant green pops replicate the wide grassy fields surrounding it. The heel pulls feature the key details, inclusing GPS coordinates for the Smithsonaains’s location, along with a motif that mimics the building inverted pyramid profile.
The Curry 7 “MAAHC” colorway will release globally on UA.com, and at select stores like Finish Line for $140 USD on January 20th.
