This Is Stephen Curry's Final Basketball Shoe with Under Armour
Who would've guessed that Stephen Curry's multi-year deal with Under Armour from 2013 would turn into an industry-disruptor culminating in the formation of a standalone Curry Brand? The world may never know, but what's certain is that the 3-point shooter's tenure with UA has come to an end on mutual terms.
In mid-November, Curry and Under Armour announced the separation of Curry Brand from the main business, leading the 37-year-old to go on a "sneaker free agency" run that's seen him wear everything from the adidas Harden Vol. 10 to the Nike A'One. It seems Steph's final UA-backed Curry Brand sneaker—the Curry 13—is slated to drop before the end of the 2025-26 NBA season.
Tech specs for the design haven't been disclosed by either party involved, but the Curry 13 takes a different direction from its immediate predecessor. Ventilated base layers are partly-covered by the extended midsole, which recreates a wave design on the profiles. Torsional support and a fragmented, but more traditional outsole appear underfoot, seemingly changing things up from many of the UA Flow offerings from Curry Brand over the last handful of years.
