Under Armour Launches the Shadow Elite 4 Football Boot
Under Armour has officially introduced its most advanced football boot to date, the Under Armour Shadow Elite 4, building on one of the brand’s key performance silos with a focus on speed, agility, and control.
Designed for attacking players, the Shadow Elite 4 is engineered to deliver explosive acceleration and quick directional changes. At the core of the update is a woven carbon fibre plate system in both the forefoot and heel, aimed at generating forward propulsion while maintaining a cushioned, stable landing. The result is a more responsive underfoot feel built for high-speed play.
Fit and lockdown have also been refined. A newly developed 3D heel counter is designed to reduce slippage and improve stability during sharp movements, while a knitted collar and micro-wrap upper provide a close, lightweight fit. At just 213 grams, the boot prioritizes minimal weight without compromising structure.
The Shadow Elite 4 arrives at a key moment in the football calendar, with usage expected across Europe’s top competitions and into this summer’s international tournaments. Players including Fermín López, Ollie Watkins, Ferran Torres, and Pedro Porro are set to wear the model on pitch.
According to López, the boot is built for instinctive play, helping with acceleration, sharper turns, and maintaining control at speed—key attributes for attacking roles.
The Under Armour Shadow Elite 4 is available now via Under Armour and select retailers, priced at $275 in its launch White/Boundless Blue/Orange Bloc colorway.
A more accessible takedown model, the Shadow Pro 4, is also available, offering a similar lightweight, locked-in feel at $160.
