Parra and Vans are set to release a new iteration of the Half Cab, following an earlier friends-and-family exclusive celebrating World Skateboarding Day.
This forthcoming release of the Half Cab maintains the wavy overlays seen in the friends-and-family pair but ventures further into Parra’s signature style with a bolder color palette. While the earlier version sported the French flag's red, white, and blue—a nod seen during its debut at Paris Fashion Week—the new public release flaunts colors reminiscent of Parra's 2021 collaboration with Nike SB Dunk Low. These hallmark hues bring a dynamic vibrancy to the layered upper, making it a standout piece in any collection.
Beyond the eye-catching design, the sneakers include functional skateboarding features such as PopCush insoles for enhanced comfort and performance and an extra sliver of rubber around the sole to boost durability. Special branding elements include Half Cab tags on the tongue and lateral side adorned with bird graphics and the text “1992”—the year the iconic Half Cab model was created.
Enjoy a detailed look at the link-up below, and expect to see this Parra x Vans Half Cab release at select retailers on September 23rd.
