Vans and Slam Jam Tap Artist Julian Klincewicz for Three-Piece Pack

Vans collaborations have always arrived with a strong presence of hype appeal thanks to the successful partnerships with Kith, Stray Rats, and Supreme. Now looking to capitalize on this fruitful momentum comes a collab that will engage our artistic side, enter the Vault by Vans x Slam Jam x Julian Klincewicz. San Diego-based Polish-American Julian Klincewicz is a multi-disciplinary artist that has worked with the likes of Kanye West, Gosha Rubchinsky, Eckhaus Latta, Calvin Klein, Lady Gaga amongst others, his latest venture is a collection of apparel and sneakers using Vans and Slam Jam clothing as his canvas.

“With this collection, I was thinking a lot about myself as a 7-year-old boy obsessed with toy cars. I loved trying to play off that energy – constant motion, speed, imagination, endless creativity… exuberance even. I was hoping to make things that felt simultaneously childlike and adult — something that transcends age a little bit.” – Julian. With this ethos, we can clearly see the vision that he expressing over both the sneakers and garments. Breaking down the colorways of the shoes, however, firstly, the upper is comprised of a trio of hues over the different panels, green nubuck toe cap, tongue, and heel. Red and blue photo imagery of a woman covers the canvas foundation with contrasting white branding atop, underfoot is a solid black rubber sole unit. Secondly, the slip-on silhouette features vibrant yellow nubuck covering the prominent portion of the front and heel, divided by a motion-blurred image at the medial. A solid white rubber sole unit anchors this design. Last but not least we are presented with a classic near triple black suede design that sports a solid black rubber outsole. Completing all three motifs is the typical Vans branding and luxe white leather lining.
