There’s a new YEEZY 350 model on the way for 2022, but it’s not the elusive V3; it’s an all-new YEEZY 350 V2 CMPCT, and it’s expected to debut in two colorways come the tail end of 2021.
Despite the constant tinkering to the V2 (stripe adjustments, Mono pack, etc) Kanye’s not quite ready to label an official third version, despite the new model featuring an entirely new weave, height, and shape. In fact, the only intact design feature it retains from the designs preceding it is the ribbed sole unit. The name, short for Compact, is an obvious choice, with the tightly woven weave contracting in towards the ankle as opposed to away from it, forming a sock-like collar similar to that seen on the audacious 450 models. The knit pattern bears a close resemblance to the recently-revealed Knit BSKTBL, and will also debut in a similar Slate Blue hue.
There’s a second “Red Slate” colorway, too, that is expected to arrive alongside the pictured pair.
