Originally thought to be the upcoming “Tailgate” colorway, it turns out that this Static/Lundmark mash-up YEEZY 350 is actually the previously reported “Yeshaya” makeup, which YEEZY Mafia had reported to be purple — what a mess! It’s left me with many, many questions — is there still a purple YEEZY 350 on the way? And what the hell will the “Tailgate” end up looking like? — but I digress . . .
For this release, Kanye has plucked another name from Hebrew heritage, with Yeshaya deriving the meaning of ‘God is Salvation.’ Furthering Ye’s fixation with religion, the pair joins the previously-previewed Yechiel colorway, whose name derives from the Hebrew ‘Yechiel,’ meaning ‘May God Live.’ God and religion have been long-running undertones for his entire body of creative works, from 2004’s single Jesus Walks, to his more recent Sunday Services — now, the theme bleeds back into his YEEZY range.
This pair appears to be a mash-up of the famed “Static” and “Lundmark” drops from earlier this year, but arrives in slightly brighter shades all around. Up top, you’ll find a white and grey woven Primeknit upper, while down below a cream midsole and light gum outsole wrap up the full-length BOOST midsole. Pairs are expected to arrive in both Reflective and non-reflective editions in January 2020, with some reports of a Jan 25th release, although that is yet to be confirmed by retailers or adidas.
As of this moment, that’s all the information we have, but should more news develop, we’ll be sure to keep you filled on over on our Twitter feed (go on, give us a follow) Until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair below, and if you’re keen on more YEEZY drops for next year, we’ve got a full rundown of the already stacked list of YEEZY Releases for 2020 right here.
