It was just a normal Sunday for these two. Kanye West and DJ Khaled were out on the tarmac — in between each other’s respective private jets — having a quick chat about life like they were meeting up at a parking lot outside a gas station for a sneaker transaction. And in fact, that’s kind of what happened, just on a grander scale. We’re not sure of what exactly went down, but at the end of the convo, Ye took of his personal pair of sneakers and gifted it to the notoriously loud producer:
Khaled looked way too happy to secure those things. I’m sure his pals at the Michael Jordan Building in Portland won’t be happy about — after all, he is (literally) one of the brand biggest influencers. But what were those things? It’s actually an updated prototype of the YEEZY 700 v3, and it looks like the result of theYEEZY BSKTBL and that hideous new Foam Runner having a love child. It also looks to incorporate the new alien-like sole unit found on the YEEZY 350 v3, which actually has us thinking if Ye actually did in fact storm Area 51.
There’s still no word on its release —or if Kanye is even past the prototype stage — but we’re probably looking at a 2020 release. We’ve got some better looks at the sneaker from yesterday’s Sunday Service in Atlanta below, so take a peep at the on-foots below, and keep it locked into HOUSE OF HEAT for more updates.
In related news, December’s adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 v2 “Yecheil” has been revealed — and it’s the brand’s most colorful pair yet.
