The YEEZY Quantum “Hi-Res Coral” Arrives October 10

Though the small amount of releases doesn’t reflect it, the YEEZY Quantum (QNTM) dates way back to 2016, when Ye and his design team at adidas made it their mission to create a basketball sneaker fit for the NBA hardwood. And whilst its’ not particularly associated with the sport at all (I can’t recall it ever being worn on-court), it has since transformed itself into one of the brand’s leading lifestyle sneakers. Since its first release back at All-Star Weekend 2020, we’ve seen ten-or-so releases, most of whcih have stayed well within the color constraints of the original release — either black or tan-based. But its next release — the YEEZY Quantum “Hi-Res Coral” — will look a bit more adventurous, forgoing the black neoprene collar and neutral body in favor of a striking mix of muted and vibrant hues.

Here, neoprene tongues and collars arrive in a light sage green, with heel wraps of tan leading into striking orange outsoles underfoot. The midsole works with it, providing a gradient from the lower to the upper, meeting at a translucent-yellow cage up top. Toe caps resume their tan tooling, as too does the reflective Primeknit weave underneath. Inside the pair, you’ll find full-length BOOST cushioning tech as standard.
