Jordan Brand is set to release a limited edition Air Jordan 9 Baseball Glove Pack that pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s baseball career. These two Air Jordan 9 releases will come in “Black Leather” with 45 on the heels as a nod to the Birmingham Barons and the other in “Brown Leather” with 35 on the heels as a nod to MJ’s time spent with the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League in 1994.
Each pair comes constructed in premium leather uppers with baseball glove-inspired woven lacing on the side panels. Michael Jordan’s baseball numbers from both clubs are stitched on the heels.
A release date has yet to be announced, but the Air Jordan 9 Baseball Glove Pack is expected to be extremely limited, rumored to 2,000 pairs. The Brown leather pairs are said to be like a rare Pokemon, as the vast majority of the release will be in the Barons colorway.
There’s also rumors of how these will be released – suggesting they come wrapped in film like a pack of baseball cards – not knowing whats inside. So if you score yourself a pair of the tan leather, you can count yourself very, very lucky.
Either way, I’m not feeling these. You can catch my OG thoughts here, as well as a few more images. If you are looking to score a pair however, stay tuned into the House of Heat for more info on an upcoming release date and info on how to score a pair.
