Who said you can't look cool while running?
Brands like Hermanos Koumori and SATISFY® have brought elevated aesthetics to performance gear over the last handful of years, but there's a segment of the market that's been looking to blend streetwear flair with apparel and footwear that goes the distance.
This is where A BATHING APE® and adidas step in.
Having reworked the overlooked AdiStar HRMY in February to celebrate the 2026 World Cup™, the longtime partnership's next running project reimagines the popular Adizero Evo SL, a lightweight training model that's also gotten widespread attention thanks to its looks.

The latest take on the LIGHTSTRIKE PRO-cushioned runner features a mismatched presentation between left and right shoe; a light blue take over the right one, while the left shoe indulges in a vibrant pink tone. Shimmering "Gold Metallic" accents appear throughout the collaboration, as do BAPE® Ape Head and STA™ logos; the latter replaces typical 3-Stripes branding on the lateral profile.
Elsewhere, the lightweight upper is reworked with woven construction for a more street-friendly aesthetic and ventilated experience. Pink and blue insoles rounds out the Adizero trainer, which boasts reliable Continental™ rubber underneath.
Enjoy detailed shots of BAPE® Evo SL running shoe ahead. Pairs are expected to release globally via adidas.com on June 27. Expect a higher price tag than the original's $150 MSRP.
