Although the U.S. Men’s National Team officially takes the pitch in Nike, one of the biggest kit stories around the country right now belongs to adidas.

Since its April 1 release, the return of adidas’ 1994 U.S. Denim Jersey has continued to gather momentum, with the retro piece becoming a standout off-pitch look as the USMNT’s World Cup campaign rolls on. What began as a nostalgic nod to one of the most recognizable kits in American soccer history has quickly turned into one of the tournament’s most in-demand fan pieces.

That demand has only grown with each U.S. win.

According to adidas, purchases of the U.S. Denim Jersey on adidas.com jumped 192% following the United States’ win over Paraguay on June 12, before climbing again with a 193% spike after the team’s victory over Australia on June 19. The June 19 result marked the biggest sales spike for the jersey so far, with overall demand up nearly 75% since June 12.

The regional breakdown also tells a clear story. California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Illinois are currently leading demand for the jersey, showing just how widely the throwback design has connected across the country.

The renewed interest is not hard to understand. Originally worn during the 1994 World Cup, the denim-look U.S. kit has long held cult status among soccer fans, sneakerheads, and vintage sportswear collectors. Its return arrives at the right time, tapping into both World Cup energy and the wider appetite for archival football product.

Demand has already exceeded expectations, with select sizes selling out through adidas e-commerce. The brand is now working to meet that demand and restock the U.S. Denim Jersey online ahead of the United States entering the knockout round of the tournament.

For a jersey that is not even on the field this summer, adidas’ 1994 U.S. Denim Kit is still finding a way to own the moment.

The adidas 1994 U.S. Denim Jersey is available now via adidas.com, with restocks expected as demand continues to build.
