This Sunday, adidas Basketball will pay tribute to one of the game’s greatest icons—Candace Parker—celebrating her legendary career as both a WNBA champion and President of adidas Women’s Basketball. The Los Angeles Sparks will officially retire Parker’s jersey during their June 29 game against the Chicago Sky, marking the culmination of a career defined by on-court excellence and off-court leadership.

To kick off the day, adidas will unveil a larger-than-life floral installation outside Crypto.com Arena at 11:30AM PT. The sculpture, built entirely from purple and yellow blooms, is a towering tribute to Candace’s signature #3 jersey. Fans attending the event will receive their own commemorative flower to carry into the arena, creating a symbolic sea of support for the two-time WNBA champion and Olympic gold medalist.

The celebration continues at 12:30PM PT with an appearance by Candace herself at the floral display, offering fans the opportunity to see and honor her before tip-off. Later that afternoon, the Sparks and adidas will transform Crypto.com Arena with a full arena takeover during the 4:00PM PT matchup against the Chicago Sky. The event includes the distribution of exclusive “That’s Our Ace” t-shirts to all attendees—part of adidas’ ongoing tradition of giving their most celebrated athletes their flowers.

This tribute follows in the footsteps of adidas’ D. Rose floral installation in Chicago, connecting a legacy of greatness across cities, courts, and eras. Candace Parker’s impact on the game transcends basketball—and this Sunday, she gets the flowers she’s more than earned.
