The Adidas Fear Of God Athletics Basketball II Will Debut in "Night Brown" in December

Adidas and Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God Athletics are back with their highly anticipated second-generation model, the Basketball II, which will be released in December 2024.

The “Night Brown” pack introduces both mid- and high-versions of the silhouette, boasting updated features that transform the shoe from a streetwear staple to a game-ready performance.

The first Fear of God Basketball model was criticized for its weight and lack of modern tech, making it less than ideal for in-game use. With the Basketball II, Lorenzo and Adidas address these concerns head-on. The new model is lighter and incorporates performance-driven design elements, making it fit for NBA action. Gabe Vincent of the Los Angeles Lakers has already worn the model on the court.

Official images show the striking “Night Brown” colorway, which combines a rich brown upper with cream-colored opaque soles. The Mid version showcases abstract striping across the upper, complemented by an external heel counter and Fear of God branding on the sole. Meanwhile, the High version furthers the design with an ankle strap for extra lockdown support. Both versions feature a multi-directional traction pattern on the outsole, providing the grip necessary for fast-paced play on the hardwood.

This release also ties into Fear of God Athletics’ growing presence in the basketball world, as the brand partners with Overtime Elite as the eighth team in the youth league. The Basketball II’s launch marks a new chapter for Fear of God Athletics, blending high-fashion aesthetics with true basketball performance.

Expect the Mid and High iterations of the adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball II “Night Brown” to hit retail this December 2024.
