Jerry Lorenzo Previews New Adidas Fear Of God Athletics II Basketball Shoe
Fear of God Athletics is preparing to launch its next chapter in performance basketball footwear with the upcoming release of Fear of God Basketball II.
Known for blending luxury with urban style, Jerry Lorenzo’s new offering maintains the design DNA that has made him a household name. It focuses on function and performance, taking the next step in bridging the gap between sport and fashion.
While the previous Fear of God model found itself more aligned with lifestyle wear due to its lack of modern performance technology, Lorenzo's latest design aims to remedy that. The Fear of God Basketball II is expected to be fully equipped for on-court play, providing performance at all levels while maintaining a high-end aesthetic. Lorenzo’s goal with the new model is to offer something that performs well on the court and integrates seamlessly into everyday life, much like his previous creations.
Although specific technical specifications are yet to be revealed, early glimpses show a mid-top cut with smooth paneling accented with stripe detailing. The pair features a semi-translucent gum sole underfoot, adding a distinctive visual element to the overall design. A key area of focus is the toe box, which Lorenzo has designed to be both functional for basketball and stylish for off-court use. A new shoe version also incorporates a TPU cage for added support, showing Lorenzo’s commitment to combining performance with luxury.
While the official release date and full tech specs are still under wraps, Lorenzo’s increased model sharing suggests the release may be imminent.
