adidas Presents Predator 26—A New Chapter in Football Boot History

adidas Football has been widely considered the winner of 2025 thanks to its healthy mix of performance products, retro styles, and creative campaigns. As the Three Stripes enters a FIFA World Cup™ year, it's looking to continue its efforts into 2026. One such way is by unveiling an all-new edition of the Predator.

Unofficially the adidas Predator 26, the pair of foots takes the line's decades-long history and reimagines it for the next 20 years. Through-lines to iconic Predator designs from the past appear on the latest offering, but the tech specs included in the new version are firmly rooted in the modern game. NANOSTRIKE+, an updated STRIKEFRAME, and the integration of POWERSPINE come together to help today's athletes control the pitch.

Since its debut in 1994, the Predator franchise has made use of strategically-placed rubber overlays across the upper. The all-new pair of adidas football boots isn't any different, but its NANOSTRIKE+ technology delivers smoother synergy between fit, comfort, and strike zones. An innovative mesh offers enhanced softness and a feather-like lightness that couples with grip elements that perform in dry and wet conditions. The setups provides an improvement from the HybridTouch 2.0 seen on the Predator 26's immediate predecessor.

Underfoot, a modified STRIKEFRAME features a reorganized stud pattern. Each detail has been optimized for supreme traction, prioritizing the movements associated with high goal-scoring. To this end, POWERSPINE technology is implemented into the plate itself, running from the heel to the edge of the forefoot. The plastic strip provides stability and enables a stronger shot.

adidas Predator releases of the past have featured similar elements to enhance the football's stickiness to the foot, as well as help power shots in-game. Jude Bellingham, Aitana Bonmatí, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Pedri, and Alessia Russo will put the latest proposal to the test throughout '26.

With its new Predator design, the Three Stripes aims to continue dominating the performance football conversation. Names like Lionel Messi, Mohammed Salah, and Ousmane Dembélé have helped the German sportswear juggernaut remain synonymous with "the beautiful game." The adidas Trionda Official Match Ball for next year's World Cup™ has also reminded folks of the brand's connection to the global sport.

The Predator 26 debuts in a "Gunmetal" (Iron Metallic/Footwear White/Lucid Red) color scheme that first debuted across the franchise in 2003. The original Predator Mania that introduced the look to market 22 years ago was recently modeled by none other than David Beckham as part of a modern reissue. The ensemble is being called "Finishers Steel" on the newest Predator design.

The Elite Fold-over Tongue (FT) Firm Ground (FG) version leads the charge, and is met with Pro and League editions. Turf and Indoor editions appear alongside a Toddler bootie.
