Another Lakers-Themed adidas Forum Low Appears

The marquee Three Stripes model of 1984 has been thrust back into the spotlight this month with the reveal of not one, not two, but four efforts from Italian fashion house Prada. On the flip side, the brand’s in-house designs have been going strong, with yet another new hoops-themed release coming to light — this one honing in on its roots with the Los Angeles Lakers.  Of course, the adidas Forum is named after the Inglewood Forum, where the Lakers played from  1967 to 1999 — and this is not the first Lakers-themed release to appear for the silhouette, with at least three bobbing up in the past 18 months alone. The one, however, adds a touch of Championship gold — a color the franchise knows well.

Herem a white leather upper houses jersey mesh mid panels for an athletic aesthetic, whilst accenting gold and purple throughout make the pair unmistakably Lakers. A little more heavy-handed on the former see purple reserve for just the tongue tags, heel clips, and Three Stripe piping, with the aforementioned gold accents hitting the medial line eyestay and lateral Trefoil motif to complete the design.

Though pairs of this new adidas Forum Low are already lined-up for release soon in Asia, a wider, global release is yet to be confirmed. Until further news arrives, you can enjoy a first look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
