After returning to the market with OG-inspired gusto, then tinkering with both Highs and Lows in a range of wild collaborative colorways, the adidas Forum has taken the natural progression into remodeling the design – this one with modern tech. Titled the adidas Forum Tech BOOST, the name clearly stated the cushioning system used, but you don’t need to know the name to see it peering through the semi-translucent jelly outsole. The upper is overhauled, too, with a tonal sheath housing a modern interpretation of the classic hoops shoe, with heritage-inspired suede overlays external to this at the heel and eyestay. Futuristic typeface hits the tongue, heel, and lateral ankle branding to complete the design.
Now, after debuting earlier this year in a simple white-on-white make — and recently released a handful of pairs in collaboration with Xbox — the silhouette returns in two ways to form this upcoming “Black & White” Pack. Though they’re not complete inversions of each other, they do share the same alternating characteristics throughout. while the black-based pair stays true to a monochrome make, the white option introduced flashes of metallic silver at the Three Stripes and vamp.
