In an unforgettable Adidas AE1 Takeover night, fans recieved an exclusive look at the unreleased Anthony Edwards 1 Low "Nick’s Gift" colorway. In partnership with Adidas and Foot Locker, Nick Maddox, Anthony Edwards’ best friend, arrived at the arena in a peach-wrapped delivery truck packed with the exclusive "Nick’s Gift" colorways, AE posters, and limited-edition merch, which were gifted to lucky fans in attendance.
As the game tipped off, Anthony Edwards, joined by Timberwolves Mascot ‘Crunch’ and the team’s dancers, debuted the new colorway on the court, giving fans a first look at the special edition shoes in action. The night was made even more special when the Timberwolves secured a win over the Lakers, making the AE 1 Takeover event a true celebration for both the team and the fans.
This surprise gifting event highlighted Adidas’ commitment to engaging with the sneaker community and gave fans an unforgettable experience centered around Anthony Edwards and his iconic sneaker that celebrates his relationship with his best friend, Nick Maddox.
