From Kanye to Beyonce to Prada, adidas continues to pull in big-name collaborators that are the envy of the footwear world. Their next endeavor with Italian fashion house Gucci continues an upward trend for the brand, with long teasers and leaks building anticipation beyond belief. Now, the two parties have officially announced their partnership, via social media ahead of their FW22 runway showing.

Update 05.10.22 // adidas and Gucci have officially announced their debut collaboration for June 7th.
Alongside the news, the brands have unveiled an epic look book for the collection, both of which – the collection and the look book — were designed by legendary designer Alessandro Michele. Here, Michele drew from archival catalogs, encouraging his muses and models to pose dramatically against pops of color in a very ’80s infomercial form. It’s the right vibe for this collaboration as many footwear styles — such as the Gazelle — are shoes that were popular in the ’80s, and many of the applications from velvet and suede to snakeskin, leathers, bold prints, jazzy fonts, and more also hark back to this energetic era.
Grab a look for yourself just below, and look for the collection to drop at select Gucci stores, dedicated pop-ups, online on Gucci’s website, as well as on the adidas CONFIRMED app with more to come in the future.
