The Adidas Handball Spezial debuted in 1979 as the footwear of choice for handball specialists across the globe. Throughout the 2020s, the low-top trainer has enjoyed a new life as many fashionable folks' go-to sneaker. Ahead of summer, the design has emerged in a vibrant 'Lucid Red/Glow Blue' color scheme exclusively for Women.
Akin to other popular finishes on the Adidas Originals offering, the newly-surfaced style features a premium mix of leather and suede construction across its upper. The latter material indulges ruby-colored flair, while the former boasts a tamer, but equally summer-appropriate blue that creates a classic two-tone setup. 'Glow Blue' also animates inner lining.
Underfoot, the retro style enjoys traditional 'Gum One' tooling, which has taken on a plethora of Adidas Samba makeovers in the last four years. The impending pair's bottom-half, however, features sport-specific traction patterns that modernize the German company's athletic legacy.
