The Adidas Handball Spezial is decades-removed from its sports origins, enjoying a new life as a go-to option for fashionable folks across the globe. With spring inching closer, the Three Stripes has reimagined the silhouette in a number of lifestyle-oriented ensembles, which now includes two styles with quilted uppers.

Throughout its history, the Handball Spezial has opted for different makeovers, but has consistently donned either suede or leather materials across its upper. Sporty & Rich, for example, has used both finishes across a number of capsules. The latest inline offerings from Adidas Originals also feature classic materials, but the bulk of their construction presents a quilted fabric. 'Silver Metallic' and 'Cloud White' color schemes work in-tandem with the update to breathe new life into the silhouette from the 1970s.

Profile 3-Stripes and other panels deviate from their surroundings in 'Crew White,' with the duo donning shimmering layers around the toe and lower heel. Branding on the tongue also opts for some flair, matching the metallic finish found on the 'Cloud White' style's Spezial text at the lateral sidewall. Underfoot, the refreshing quilted pairs keep things traditional with their sole units, although the 'Silver Metallic' option harkens back to its debut era with brown 'Gum Five' bottoms.

Enjoy official photos of the newly-surfaced duo below. Both Handball Spezial styles should land via Adidas.com before June for $110.
