James Harden's signature series with the Three Stripes has included dozens of Player-Exclusive (PE) editions. Some styles have been inspired by personal aspects of the NBA star's life, while others have simply experimented with colors and materials. The Adidas Harden Vol. 9 is rumored to appear in "Solar Lime," snakeskin-wrapped makeover before the year ends.
Product details for an unreleased pair of Harden's ninth Adidas Basketball design reveal that a "Solar Lime/Core Black" finish has been added to the sneaker's growing catalog of styles. An unconfirmed speculative mock-up depicts the pair with everything from its inner bootie to the multi-directional outsole in the fluorescent green, a tone that's recently landed on the Reebok Engine A, a company previously owned by the Three Stripes' umbrella group. What's particularly curious about the bold-colored sneaker is the scale-like pattern printed onto the glossy upper.
An Adidas representative confirmed the update's existence to House of Heatº, but shared that the animated basketball shoe will not release to the public.
An on-foot look at the "Solar Lime" style hasn't surfaced yet, but that's expected to change as the NBA Playoffs inch closer. Whether or not the snakeskin-covered Harden Vol. 9 lands on Adidas.com is yet to be seen, but stay tuned for details.
