Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's adidas Jabbar Lo Appears with Cool 'Core Black' Suede

adidas Basketball might be obsessed with the latest and greatest, but it's consistently found time to celebrate its expansive archive. Since October 2024, the Three Stripes has made an effort to retell the story of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's original adidas Jabbar line. Ahead of spring, the series will release a low-top pair clad in classic 'Core Black/Cloud White.'

Although the color scheme has previously landed on one of the Jabbar Lo's retros, its latest appearance is on a predominantly-suede upper. Profile 3-Stripes, tongues, and Achilles' heel panels deviate from their dark surroundings in an off-white tone that works in-tandem with the sole unit underfoot for a faux-aged look. The inner-lining doesn't partake in the 'Cloud White' party, favoring different shades of the titular black hue and materials.

The legendary Abdul-Jabbar's sneaker line is unquestionably outdated when compared to styles like Damian Lillard's 10th signature sneaker, the Dame X, but it laid the foundation for adidas Basketball more than 45 years ago.
