Adidas Originals has widely shifted its attention to the Superstar's 55th anniversary, but the lifestyle-oriented division continues to champion the Samba. Ahead of fall, the silhouette has appeared in another Long Tongue (LT) ensemble covered in animal-inspired prints.
Perhaps informed by the success of Wales Bonner's wild collaborations, the latest Adidas Samba features a "Core Black/Mesa/Dark Brown" color scheme that boasts a leopard-reminiscent pattern across the upper. Faux pony hair covers the bulk of the low-profile sneaker's top-half, allowing for the big cat-inspired panels to revel in the spotlight. Shimmering eyelets introduce a golden touch into the mix, which is expounded upon by the gold foil adidas and trefoil logos on the fold-over tongue. Leopard spots appear around the Achilles' heel and throughout inner lining, although the latter area abandons the hairy presentation.
Underfoot, the Samba LT opts for a semi-translucent gum brown outsole. The choice harkens back to the silhouette's heritage while falling in line with other thin sole footwear styles currently in vogue.
Enjoy detailed shots of leopard-inspired Samba LT ahead. Pairs are expected to release via Adidas.com by September.
