Adidas Originals exists for the purpose of reissuing former performance models as lifestyle sneakers. One such design that has endured the of time is the Samba, which recently emerged in a stealthy, mesh update.
Officially clad in a "Core Black/Carbon/Silver Metallic" color scheme, the old school football trainer replaces its traditional leather base with a more breathable textile. The classic suede T-toe also opts for a leather makeover, bringing an elevated look to the heritage design. Profile 3-Stripes and panels doubling as eyelets follow suit. Under the proper lighting conditions, the former design element shines bright in a reflective finish that keeps the pair from simply being a tonal offering.
Underfoot, the color story stays the same from above. The tried-and-proven sole unit maintains its standard look and build, rounding out the package in a pitch-dark look.
Firm release details of the next "Core Black" Samba haven't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but that's expected to change by autumn. Pairs will likely land on Adidas.com for $110. While you wait, enjoy official photos of the sneaker ahead.
