We’ve just about seen it all from the adidas Superstar in this, its 50th anniversary year, but before the year is through – and undoubtedly well into 2021 — there’s still a few more fresh takes on the way, The next Shell Toe to surface is a simple one, though its striking use of colorful iridescent elevates it from basic to banger. The aptly titled adidas Superstar “Abalone” tacks on seas shell-like finishes to its traditional overlays at the midfoot and heel for an eye-popping effect. The only other alteration from your standard release comes by-way-of a modified tongue Trefoil logo, which appears here in a more organic, hand-drawn finish.
