adidas Cover the Superstar in Canvas
If you were to rank the top sneaker must-haves, the adidas Superstar would be right near the top of any list that’s worth its salt and with an impressive history behind it it’s easy to see why. Expanding its illustrious catalog and not one to be afraid of experimenting with the classics, the Trefoil design team is now utilizing the textile canvas in a similar vein and execution to what was sighted in Donald Glover’s range last year.
Simple and understated from the outset this latest Superstar has plenty of vintage appeals. Utilizing canvas as its textile of choice, it covers the entire upper deck with an aged white hue, rough and frayed cuts border the three stripes, heel overlay, and tongue to really hammer home a worn vintage aesthetic. Anchoring down the design sits at the foundation a yellowed rubber sole unit which seamlessly blends in the iconic shell toe cap. Completing the look is the easy to miss “SUPERSTAR” printed alongside the three stripes, tongue branding, and plush leather lining.
