HELLSTAR Turns the adidas Superstar Into U.S. Football Cleats

Los Angeles-based brand HELLSTAR is back with another adidas Superstar collaboration. This time, however, Sean "Seanie" Holland and team have reimagined the iconic "shell-toe" for the U.S. football gridiron.

Although the latest adidas Originals link-up is eye-catching and rooted in motifs for which HELLSTAR has become known, the project pushes the boundaries of what a street fashion and sportswear collaboration is. Lifestyle-exclusive flair is brought to a high-performing cleat, allowing the Three Stripes' roster of U.S. football talent to stay fresh on the gridiron.

Micah Parsons of the Green Bay Packers recently stepped onto the field wearing the pair.

HELLSTAR's collaboration doesn't have all the bells-and-whistles promised by the cutting-edge adidas Adizero Horizon, but its reworked sole unit allows reliable traction on artificial and natural grass.

On the aesthetic-front, the Superstar cleats see a white-and-grey color palette that's joined by deconstructed and over-the-top modifications. Graffiti-reminiscent images wrap around the heel, while flam-like panels extend beyond the sneaker's usual dimensions. Three sets of laces are included with the cleats, allowing wearers to personalize their pairs.

Stay tuned for a possible adidas.com launch. While you wait, enjoy detailed shots of the collab ahead.
