Two adidas Superstars Surface With Triple-Layered Overlays

Aside from notable collaborations, all has been quiet for the adidas Superstar in 2021, but that was kind of expected given its relentless run during its 50th-anniversary celebration last year. There are still some low-key appearances, though, with this next triple-layered pack appearing at retailers in Asia today.

Arriving in simple peach and white leather constructs, the duo feature fairly standard tooling throughout, though there are some quite obvious tweaks to its design that elevate the two above a stock-standard release. Firstly, the heel overlays arrive in three distinct panels, from metallic silver, to tonal leather, to milky translucent — all of which feature a unique branding embellishment. Midfoot Three Stripes take on a semi-translucent TPU finish, with the peach pair opting for straight-up white, and the alternate pair gearing it in gradient. The pairs are then completed by a set of branded laces, and metallic silver branding at the tongues.
