adidas Superstar “Winterized” is Retooled for the Trails

Re-booting the adidas Superstar is nothing new, but this next outwear-inspired, winterized release is.

Quite obviously inspired by outdoor trekkers and outerwear like Parkas, this new take on the Shell Toe is purposed for exploration — even the added rear bottom reads Superstar Adventure. From CORDURA-like textile tongues to thickened uppers, and utilitarian additions, the pair takes on characteristics not often found on a retro hoops-come-lifestyle shoe. There’s added traction, boot-inspired laces, and a color scheme consistent with 80s and 90s trek wear (just think ACG!) that complete the overhaul – now all that’s left to do is explore.

There’s no official release date as of yet, but given that we’re in the midst of the Winter season, you should expect to see them drop soon. Until then, check out the official images below and follow the House of Heat on Twitter for updates on its release.
