adidas Consortium Unveils a Regal Navy and Gold Rendition of the Ultra BOOST 2019

adidas has made it very clear that they will continue to look back to move forward. From their recent series of “Never Made” hybrids to their constant reworkings of vintage trainers like the Nite Jogger and Sobakov(Samba), it’s quite obvious that the Three Stripes inspiration doesn’t stray too far from their own four walls. And now, adidas Consortium looks back once more, this time to the SL80, for their latest take on the Ultra BOOST 2019.

A powerful palette that’s been a hallmark of adidas design for decades, gracing silhouettes from the adidas Spezial line to the self-lacing adidas Intelligence, it’s now come home to rest on the Ultra BOOST, and it thankfully looks just as good as it always has to utilize a deep Navy woven Primeknit upper interwoven with gold at the forefoot, complementary hues are used on the lace cage, ankle clip, and outsole. Bold gold strikes the Three Stripe branding, ankle detail, and tongue hardware, with the pair completed by vivid red co-branded insoles and full-length white BOOST midsoles.
