Just a mere month past the halfway point of the year, and we’re already beginning to see the Three Stripe’s plans for their marquee Ultra Boost lineage for the new year, with first looks at what appears to be the adidas Ultra BOOST 2021.
The all-new silhouette continues the lines short-but-well-established heritage, appearing to hand-pick elements from both the original 2015 silhouette, as well as some carry-over aesthetics from last year’s UB20 model. Classically speaking, the pair’s weave at the forefoot bears a remarkable resemblance to the original interwoven pattern on the 2015 originals, whilst heel clips in the rear revert to something a little more familiar to the original line. Elsewhere you’ll find similarities to the most recent of the lineage, with ultra-thick BOOST in the rear, like-shaped cage overlays, and a similar structure to the collar. The rear does extend out much further than last year’s model, whilst the toebox and BOOST cushioning at the forefoot appears more streamlined to a style more associated with the first four releases in the Ultra BOOST series. There also appears to be the inclusion of a translucent strip on the rubber outsole, along with a new typeface across the heel clip.
First looks show three colorways, including a White/Solar Yellow edition, an indigo-like option, and a bone, teal, and metallic lavender pair, all of which are expected to make their debut in late 2020/early 2021. With more news and likely more colorways to arrive over the coming weeks, you’ll want to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates. Until then, enjoy a detailed look at the three options here below.
Update 10.28.20 Fresh looks at a fourth upcoming adidas Ultra BOOST 2021 have arrived, showcasing the pair’s extreme BOOST height in the rear — so much so that we’ve relabelled the pair the Ultra BOOTY.
