Back in April of last year, the adidas Ultra BOOST was been reimagined for a forward-thinking earth-conscious world. Their fully-recyclable tech dubbed “FUTURECAFT loop” uses a fully circular manufacturing cycle that utilized one plastic to create an entire sneaker, meaning adidas are now able to create a dye-less, glue-less fully recyclable sneaker which is a huge W for mother nature. Now, just as they did with the Terrex Hiker, the adidas Ultra BOOST “Made To Be Remade” will return for 2022 in a brand new black-based scheme.

Three years in the making, the FUTURECRAFT Loop program also means once the shoe has reached the end of its wearable life, it can be fully ground down and created into a new pair of shoes. A unique QR code will be featured on the tongue, this will enable you to return the shoes when you want and receive something new in return, which in turn creates a theoretical never-ending loop. Despite lacking its traditional caging and woven patterns the naked Ultra BOOST presents a fairly typical build with a black mesh upper, subtle branding, BOOST sole unit, and black outer sole all of which sport an all-natural un-dyed hue.

If you’re planning on making the switch to the FUTURECRAFT Loop tech, then look out for these to hit adidas.com soon — we’ll be sure to keep you updated on its release right here on our official Twitter account.

Update 09.21.22 adidas US has confirmed a release of this adidas Ultra BOOST “Made To Be Remade” in Core Black for September 30 — and it will release alongside a new “Non-Dyed” effort in the same vein as the original release.

If you’re planning on picking up either pair on the day, make sure you head to our dedicated adidas Release Dates Calendar to set yourself a reminder for the drop.
